First Meeting of Directorate of CPA’s Board of Afghanistan Held!

The Directorate of CPA (Corporation of Professional Accountants) works to train and maintain professional accountants, to issue standard & acceptable accounting licenses to individuals and corporations, and to promote professional accounting at nationwide, which creates professional accounting and financial transparency in state, semi-state and private bodies.

After the re-establishment of IEA, the first meeting of the board of this Directorate that has been held, was chaired by Nusratullah Mahmood, the General Director of Treasury of MoF. The meeting was attended by the financial officials of ministries of Higher Education and Economy, DAB (Central Bank), Chamber of Commerce and professional members of the Directorate of CPA itself.

In this meeting, the Directorate of CPA has held comprehensive discussions on how to resume business, how to strengthen professional formation, how to evaluate companies and corporations, and how to prepare a procedural guide for practical implementation. Members of the board agreed on numerous issues for the improvement of the affairs and some topics were handed over to the CPA for detailed assessment in order to submit the final report to the next board session.
