Deputy Minister of Finance of MoF Meets With Deputy Country Director of WFP in Afghanistan

Deputy Minister and Kafil of Finance of MoF, Haji Abdul Qadir Ahmad met with WFP Representative and Country Director in Afghanistan, Hsiao-Wei Lee.
In the inception, besides welcoming the officials of WFP, Deputy Minister of Finance thanked the WFP for continuing its activities in Afghanistan and assured that MoF will continue to support the activities of this organization in humanitarian and development sectors with the intention to provide more collaborations and facilities.
Mr. Abdul Qadir Ahmad requested WFP to provide assistance in development areas in addition to humanitarian aid, so that the problems of Afghans can be permanently and fundamentally addressed.
Deputy Country Director of WFP in Afghanistan thanked the Ministry of Finance for providing a series of important customs and tax facilities in the delivery of humanitarian aid in the past two years, which has had positive influence to the development of humanitarian activities Mrs. "WFP is closely monitoring the situation in Afghanistan in order to attract foreign aids and will convey the real picture of the situation of Afghanistan and the facilities created in the field of humanitarian aids to the international community", she added.
Deputy Country Director of WFP in Afghanistan assured that they will continue their activities in the field of furnishing humanitarian and development aids in Afghanistan jointly with the relevant ministries.
