Management and Professional Experiences:
8+ years of experience in security position ideally within UN,USAID and  reputed NGOs, companies.

Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years previous experience in a similar position (ideally with UN, USAID, and Private Security Companies or similar in Afghanistan)
  • Excellent communications (both written and spoken) in English and Dari.
  • Proven supervisory experience.
  • Experience in the Northern region of Afghanistan
  • Tribal/local political awareness
  • Hostile Environment Experience
  • Weapons trained (AK47/PKM/Pistol)
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent organization skills needed for managing workload and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to on won initiative.
  • Ability to produce accurate work.
  • Ability to travel to provinces

Job Purpose:

To manage and supervise main office and site security team and resolve or escalate any issues to the Security Department B.S Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and identify information security discrepancies to ensure that all classified documents are properly marked, secured, controlled, and safeguarded, and serve as the primary contact for incoming and outgoing classified and protected materials.
  • Screening & clearance of individuals as they newly going to be appointed for the company
  • Check employees National Identification with the MOI.
  • Check employees’ all documentations with the relevant institutions
  • Check employees’ previous criminal cases with the MOI.
  • Check employees’ previous criminal cases with the DGI.
  • Process security clearance verification memos, visit requests, and requests for classified system accounts.
  • Monitor procedures, standards, and methods of identifying and protecting classified information, personnel, property, facilities, and operations or other material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, espionage, sabotage or loss.
  • Review detailed reports regarding incidents of theft, injury, property damage etc.
  • Monitor all activities for unauthorized removal of property.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments.
  • Translate the documents and the required post
  • Preparation of Accident Report in case any accident occurs.
  • Ensures that standard procedures for all security-related issues are in place and periodically updated.
  • Independently deals with officers of the corporation on matters pertaining to access control and other security-related issues for all Company facilities
  • Conduct Internal Investigations as needed.
  • Issuance of ID cards for the company’s Employee & Sub-contractors
  • Be available and “On Call” 24/7 in case of emergencies asked by GM Business Support.
  • Translation of investigation statements, report form sources and official documents, Letters from MOI, Letters from NPPF, Night letters, Dari-Pashto from local language into English.
  • Preparing the call signs and distribution of radios to guard posts and sites.
  • Process alarm access requests, issue personal identification codes, and provide access control training for all new personnel and refresher training as needed.
  • Supervise/Check physically the Security guards for all AfgChin Guesthouses & work Offices. Prepare the visitor cards & visitor registration log books/Property movement logbook Attendance log sheets.
  • Maintain contacts with Police Districts and GDI agenda.
  • Process of foreign Registration card for Security Expat staff.
  • Delivery of Security Training for the Company’s employees.
  • Perform other security related tasks as directed to by the GM Business Support.
