Acting Minister of Finance Discusses Development Project Implementation with Bamyan and Uruzgan Governors

On July 8, 2020, H.E. Abdul HadiArghandiwal, the Acting Minister of Finance met with Mr. Mohammad ShafiqAsadullah Saeed, Governor of Uruzgan and Mr. Sayed Anwar Alaa Rahmati, Governor of Bamyanon separate occasions.

At these meetings, the parties discussed development projects implementation for the provinces, taking into account the government and people’s priorities, budget problems and resources allocation. Meanwhile, the partiesdiscussed further transparency in revenue collection, better public services, construction of Bamyan Governor’s Guest house and other relevant issues.

Considering effectiveness and productivity, the Acting Minister of Finance emphasized on MoF policy to speed up the process of implementing development projects. The Ministry of Finance will cooperate with the mentioned provinces in this regard and will deal with their budget problems in light of applicable laws. He asked the governors to pay attention to national revenue collection as the coronavirus outbreak has started to decline.
