Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund Committee Met

On August 5, 2020, the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) Committee helda video conference.The meeting was chaired by Mr. Abdul Habib Zadran, Deputy Minister of Finance at MoF and Henry Kerali, the World Bank Country Director for Afghanistan.

The ARTFdonor ambassadors and representatives of the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the United Nation Development Program (UNDP) and the Islamic Development Bank attended this meeting.

The amount of money earmarked for the Emergency Agriculture and Food Supply Project (EATS) was discussed at the meeting.The before, the World Bank had approved $100 million for EATS project, of which $55 million is funded by the International Development Association and $45 million by the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund.

Ideas regarding the assistance provided by ARTF and how to use it, Casa Digital and other relevant issues were discussed in length.
