Acting Minister of Finance Discussed Budget Constraints with Chief Executive Officer of National Development Company

On May 4, 2020, H.E Abdul Hadi Arghanidwal, Acting Minister of Finance, met with Abdul Rahim Attash, General Director of National Development Company.

In this meeting, General Director of National Development Company, elaborated on budget constraints for financing national projects, and asked for MoF’s collaboration on national projects like job creations, water managements, construction of dams, planting trees in Kabul city’s green belt and other projects. He also requested for MoF’s considerations in giving national tax identification numbers for NDC employees.

Representative of Budget Directorate of Ministry of Finance assured NDC about enough budget allocations for this company; meanwhile, this adjustment in the National Budget is waiting for Parliament’s approval. MOF will continue to support NDC in accordance with effective laws and available financial resources during the fiscal year. Also, after tax clearance, MOF assured TINs will be issued to nine state owned enterprises that have newly joined NDC.

H.E Mhammad Esa Qudrat, Revenue and Customs DM, elaborated on the aspects of collaborations between this department of MOF and NDC for improvement of customs infrastructures that was envisioned by president’s decree. He stated that the MOU between MOF and NDC is drafted and will be signed very soon. Acting Minister Arghandiwal assured NDC of support for national projects. He asked for transparency in project implementations and timely delivery.
