H.E Abdul Hadi Arghandiwal, Acting Minister of the Ministry of Finance discussed the 2020 Development Conference on Afghanistan with Finland’s especial envoy through a video conference.

The parties discussed the commitments of the donors of the conference, what Afghanistan wants from the conference, preparing operational and logistical plans, and what documents are needed to prepare for the conference, in detail.

Finland’s especial envoy expressed his happiness in hosting the 2020 Development Conference on Afghanistan. He also expressed hopefulness that the conference can attract commitments of the donors, so that Afghanistan can become financially sustainable.

Acting Minister of Finance expressed his gratitude that Finland is helping Afghanistan with this conference, and added that our technical teams are preparing the necessary documents for the conference, and we hope that the conference becomes a success.

It worth to note that this conference will be held in Geneva, Finland at the end of the current year.
