Acting Minister of Finance and State Secretary to Minister for International Development of Sweden Discusses the New Development Strategy of Sweden for Afghanistan

H.E. Prof. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minster of Finance and Chief Advisor on Infrastructure to H.E. the President, on the sideline of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors of the World Bank Group (WBG) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Oct 20, 2019 met with Mr. Per Olsson Fridh, State Secretary to the Minister for International Development Cooperation of Sweden to discuss joint collaboration, successful presidential election and peace process. 

The State Secretary to Minister for International Development said that Sweden is working on the new development strategy for Afghanistan. He called on the Acting Minister of Finance to share the list of relevant areas to be covered for effectiveness of the strategy.

The Acting Minister of Finance expressed his gratitude to Sweden for its development cooperation and said that technical and professional education, environmental issues will be included in the new development strategy of Sweden as well as other areas.
