First Training

Objectives
To train assistants to Mustofiats about their roles and responsibilities in the system

Starting Date
26 February 2003 

Ending Date
30 April 2003

Number of Trainees
20 trainees

Provinces they were assigned for:
Kabul
, Logar, Balkh, Paktia, Qandahar, Herat, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunduz, Jawzjan, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Faryab.

Subjects trained

  • How to prepare reports for the center (Expenditure and Revenue)

  • Present processes undertaken in the Ministry of Finance

  • All fiscal forms used currently in the Ministry of Finance

  • Layout of the organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance and also the responsibilities of each department

  • Introduction to all departments of the ministry and discussion on the financial issues of those departments

  • The field of computers and IT

Result
We have regular monthly reports from 90% of the provinces of Afghanistan Expenditures and Revenue status as required by the ministry. 

Second Training

Objectives
To train assistants to Mustofiats about their roles and responsibilities in the system

Starting Date
Saturday, 17 May 2003

Ending Date
Thursday, 24 July 2003

Number of Trainees
19

Provinces they assigned for
17 different provinces through out the country.

The provinces are: Urozgan, Nooristan, Parwan, Badakhshan, Badghis, Neemrooz, Samangan, Takhar, Sar-I-Pul, Helaman, Bamyean, Kapisa, Kunarha, Kabul, Ghoor, Baghlan, and Khost. 

Subjects covered in the training
The subjects were trained in this course were as below:

  • How to prepare reports for the center (Expenditure and Revenue)          

  • Present processes undertaken in the Ministry of Finance

  • All fiscal forms used currently in the Ministry of Finance

  • Layout of the organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance and also the responsibilities of each department

  • Introduction to all departments of the ministry and discussion on the financial issues of those departments

  • The field of computers and IT

Result
The results showed that we had not proper reports from the provinces before.  The assignments and efforts in the Mustofiats as well as the cooperation of the Mustofiat staff have resulted in regular monthly reports from 90% provinces of Afghanistan Expenditures and Revenue status as required by the ministry.
